EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 05, 2005 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.11 | build 4S516) which offers user management, calendar, fileserver, CMS and database management improvements. The new user manager offers a new and improved user account editor, improved password encryption features as well as Windows LAN/NT hash compatibility for better Samba and LDAP integration. The calendar module has been completely rewritten, it now offers full support for multiple event calendars per user as well as enhanced screen views. The fileserver now offers full LDAP support as well as completely rewritten Microsoft Windows filesharing features via Samba. The content management system (CMS) offers new content object data types (number, string and boolean). The database management system now offers customizable search fields as well as better video file support. Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.

EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 07, 2005 - EducDesign SA today released the new major update of their OLEFA Information Management System software (version 1.5.0 | build 5G0411). OLEFA 1.5 offers many administration enhancements, image manipulation features on all system levels (CMS, database management, wiki, webbook, resources manager, ...), the new OLEFAdesk application suite (which will become available with OLEFA 1.5.1) as well as the new OLEFA EiS Enterprise Intelligence System (which will become available with OLEFA 1.5.2). The new OLEFAdesk and OLEFA EiS features will be enabled within the following weeks and months to ensure a gradual upgrade for customers and to reduce the number of possible technical problems due to the vast amount of new features.

OLEFA 1.5.1 enables OLEFAdesk, a virtual web base operating system available to all OLEFA XL and UE users. OLEFAdesk supports directory/file management and currenty offers three applications: OLEFAwrite (text processing), OLEFAcal (online calendar) and OLEFAmail (webmail client). Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.

EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 09, 2005 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.5.2 | build 5J1414) which enables the new OLEFA EiS technology which currently offers professional address managament as well as the OLEFA ticket request system (TRS, customer support management). OLEFAdesk now offers three new applications: OLEFA paint (image processing tools), OLEFA schoolmanager (teacher, student and schedule management) and OLEFA teamworker (group management). The database stock management now allows to instantly view stock information for specific users. This is a very interesting features for libraries for example. The network management has been greatly improved and now offers automated client updates (fully compatible with UNIX/Linux, Apple MacOSX and Microsoft Windows clients). New development and check tools offer advanced error/problem detection features to ensure better software quality.
