EducDesign SA releases OLEFA 1.4.7


EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 01, 2005 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.7 | build 3R210) which introduces the new database media extension feature, an integrated Dewey Decimal Catalogt system for libraries, an enhanced wiki manager offering form and html paragraph types, new and improved OLEFAscript commands as well as many interface and OLEFA System Architecture enhancements. Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.





EducDesign SA releases OLEFA 1.4.8


EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 02, 2005 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.8 | build 3R423).

The administration tools now offer completely redesigned welcome and preferences screens, two new display themes ('mac_tiger' and 'win_longhorn'), manual reboot and shutdown tools, a new role management system, a completely new cronsync setup page, an improved website content adding tool, a first implementation of a 'demo site' feature as well as a new 'form' website content object. Many superuser features have been moved from the superuser tools into the administration section (notably the system setup tools, the driver setup tools and the entire development tools).

The wiki manager offers a new 'mail' paragraph type, an 'edit' icon is displayed in the viewer when users are logged in, the user can select its own user level (beginner, normal or expert) and several bugs have been fixed (notably the 'form' paragraph type should now offer correct answers when submitting the results).

The database manager offers a large number of new features, including tools to add/edit additional tables, new 'links & references', 'documents' and 'info box' editor modules, a feature to name and colour editor modules as well as a wiki gateway.

Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.





EducDesign SA releases OLEFA 1.4.9


EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 03, 2005 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.9 | build 3R826).

OLEFA 1.4.9 introduces some major technological improvements. The entire system now uses a new load/store architecture which is handled by the OLEFA System API (OSA). The new architecture ensures better support for the OLEFA 1.4 sandbox concept and will offer improved ACL/ISP support on all system levels. All superuser features are now available within the administration tools, therefore the superuser tools could be removed. The installation process is now handled by a completely new system installer. OLEFA 1.4.9 also introduces a first implementation of the system tools which allow to better interact with the operating system.

The website management offers a new linking method which allows to create links using less code, the new method is available on all system levels and in all templates.

Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.





EducDesign SA releases OLEFA 1.4.10


EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 04, 2005 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.10 | build 4R200).

OLEFA 1.4.10 is mostly a bugfix release which addresses most of the currently know issues and problems.

The software development tools have been optimized for use with the Concurrent Versions System (CVS) and a new manual package installation feature has been implemented. The database item display logic is now handled by the OLEFA System API (OSA).

The Content Management System (CMS) now offers enhanced table and image editors, the database manager supports ISBN gateway unicode conversion. The webbook now offers a new 'facing pages' features as well as a new 'classic' book theme.

Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.
