EducDesign SA releases OLEFA 1.4.3


EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 09, 2004 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.3 | build 2R455) which introduces a complete new resources manager module as well as many other improved features.

The new resources manager offers a completely new user interface, similar to the administration tools and the wiki manager. The most important new resources manager features include fully recursive directory management, improved session management, more setup features, manipulating multiple files at once (move, rename, delete, generate thumbnails, ...), generating thumbnails when importing images and much more.

But there's more: a completely new system update tool has been implemented, language management has been improved in all modules (MPM & GPM), the CMS allows to import files in various standard formats (including RTF (Rich Text Format) and Microsoft Excel (for tables)), an OCR gateway has been implemented an allow to import text from scanned letters in a single step, the CMS allows to attach MS Office documents and images to included texts, service mode backups have been improved and text system extension & driver architecture has been restructured.

Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.





EducDesign SA releases OLEFA 1.4.4


EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 10, 2004 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.4 | build 2R517) which introduces the completely new OLEFA System API (OSA). The system API offers a number of calls that can be used by all OLEFA modules as well as by third party applications. The new system calls are essential elements of the new OLEFA 'sandbox' concept, further I/O features will be implemented in upcoming OLEFA releases. The new commands and system calls can now also used with the all new web based administration terminal which is accessible to all administrators.

Further enhancements include an improved system compiler, an improved system installer, a system restore tool, improved FTP and network support. Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.





EducDesign SA releases OLEFA 1.4.5


EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 11, 2004 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.5 | build 2R851) which offers a large number of enhancements including many interface improvements, a new icon selection interface, a color picker for custom color selection, a password generator in the user editor, support for JavaScript based pulldown menus, a new site map generation feature, greatly improved cronsync management tools in the administration section, a much better system API integration for all system modules, new access control features in the resources manager as well as improved networking tools. Most other modules have been updated at the same time and offer new features to administrators and users, bugfixes, improvements and code enhancements. The new release will be installed on all customer servers within the next few days.





EducDesign SA releases OLEFA 1.4.6


EDUCDESIGN, Bettembourg, Luxembourg - 12, 2004 - EducDesign SA today released their latest version of the OLEFA software (version 1.4.6 | build 3R131) which introduces the new database container extension concept as well as the new Wikipedia gateway.

The new database container extension concept now allows to quickly expand your olefabase databases. The current implementation allows up to 5 extensions and the first extension type is a simple table extension featuring up to 256 fields. The new Wikipedia gateway allows to grab content from www.wikipedia.org and to display it on your OLEFA website.

Further improvements include more database list printing options, better international support for the Amazon gateway, support for the dynamic meta extension in the administration tools and the resources manager, a greatly improved database setup interface, many access control list enhancements, implementation of the new
command, better system api integration, improved automatic backup and system restore features as well as many wiki manager interface enhancements.
